Gianni L. Cilfone

American, 1908 - 1992


Gianni Cilfone was born in Foggia, italy in 1908. At age five, he immigrated to Chicago with his family and settled in Chicago. He studied at both the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. Cilfone exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, The Salmagundi Club in New York City, The Hoosier Salon and the Chicago Galleries Association. Cilfone had a studio in Nashville, Indiana and is best known for his bucolic scenes of Brown County, Indiana.
