Anna Lee Dey Stacey

American, 1865 - 1943


Anna Lee Dey Stacey was best known as a painter of marine and figure subjects. She lived in Chicago at the famed Tree Studios colony of artists. She was born in Glasgow, Missouri in 1865 and studied at the Kansas City Art Association’s School of Design, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Academie Delecluse in France.

Stacey moved to Pasadena, California toward the end of her life. She exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and her work can be found in the Union League Club of Chicago.
