Eduard Vaclav Kleinert (Edrudy)

American, 1905 - 1975


Eduard Vaclav Kleinert was born in Most, Czechloslovakia in 1905. He immigrated from Prague to Chicago in 1924 and married his wife Alice in 1928. Alice was Art Institute trained and a commercial artist; together they operated Edrudy Studios in Chicago. Kleinert was also the Maitre d”hotel at the notable Drake Hotel in Chicago. In 1948, he and his wife moved to Pell Lake, WI. He died there in 1975.
