Known for his bold, fauvist palete, Emil Jacques Grumieaux was born in Gosslies, Hainaut, Belgium in 1897. He exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, The Toronto Art Museum and the Detroit Art Museum, among others. His work can be found in the San Diego Museum of Art.
