Henry George Brandt

American, 1862 - 1946


Henry George Brandt was born in Bremen, Germany in 1862 and immigrated to the United States in 1882. Brandt studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked as a commercial artist and created eight murals depicting Native American life at Lane Technical High School in Chicago in 1913. Brant was a member of the Palette & Chisel Club in Chicago. In 1946, Brandt died in Chicago at the age of 84.
