Thomas H. Kapsalis

American, b. 1925


Thomas Kapsalis was born in Chicago in 1925. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and later became an associate professor of drawing and painting. He taught at the Art Institute from the mid 1950s to the 1970s. From 1953-1954, Kapsalis traveled to Germany on a Fullbright grant. Kapsalis has exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia, PA and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.
